祂要把烈焰熊熊的火炭和硫磺降在惡人身上，用炙熱的風懲罰他們。

耶和華從天上把燃燒的硫磺降在所多瑪和蛾摩拉兩地，

摩西向天伸出手杖，耶和華就發出雷電和冰雹，火光飛向大地。耶和華在埃及降下冰雹。那時冰雹夾雜著火降下來，極為嚴重，在埃及史無前例。

第四位天使將碗倒在太陽上，太陽就變得炙熱如火，可以灼傷人。人們被炙熱灼傷，就褻瀆掌管這些災禍的上帝的名，他們毫無悔意，不肯歸榮耀給上帝。

又命令軍中的勇士將沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌綁起來，扔進烈焰熊熊的火窯。這三人穿著外袍、褲子等衣物，戴著頭巾，被綁著扔進烈焰熊熊的火窯。因為王的命令緊急，窯燒得非常熱，火焰燒死了那些抬沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的人。沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌三人被綁著落入烈焰熊熊的火窯。這時，尼布甲尼撒王驚奇地跳起來，問謀士：「我們綁起來扔進火裡的不是三個人嗎？」他們答道：「王啊，是的。」王說：「看啊，我見有四個人在火中走來走去，沒有被綁著，也沒有被燒傷，第四個人的面貌好像神明的兒子。」

名字沒有記在生命冊上的都要被扔進火湖裡。

背負血債者必終生逃亡，誰也不要幫他。

丟在火爐裡，讓惡人在那裡哀哭切齒。

引誘正直人走邪道，必掉進自己設的陷阱；但純全無過的人必承受福分。

耶和華在天上打雷，至高者發出的聲音響徹在冰雹和火炭中。祂射出利箭驅散仇敵，發出閃電擊潰他們。
