Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.

Lord, even before I speak a word, you know all about it.

Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.

You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord.

Before a word is on my tongue, you know all about it, LORD.

Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, Lord, You know it all.

For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.

For there is not a word in my tongue, But, lo, O Jehovah, thou knowest it altogether.

Certainly my tongue does not frame a word without you, O LORD, being thoroughly aware of it.

For there is not a word on my tongue, but, behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. (niv)

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. (niv)

You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.You sit and testify against your brother and slander your own mother’s son.When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you. (niv)

Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. (niv)

You asked,‘ Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. (niv)

My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.” (niv)

At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps and punish those who are complacent, who are like wine left on its dregs, who think,‘ The Lord will do nothing, either good or bad.’ (niv)

We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal.Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go.Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind,but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness.Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. (niv)

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (niv)

“ You have spoken arrogantly against me,” says the Lord.“ Yet you ask,‘ What have we said against you?’“ You have said,‘ It is futile to serve God. What do we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty?But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly evildoers prosper, and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it.’”Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. (niv)
