Now when Daniel learned that the document was signed, he entered his house( and in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he continued kneeling on his knees three times a day, praying and offering praise before his God, just as he had been doing previously.Then these men came by agreement and found Daniel offering a prayer and imploring favor before his God.

For thrones were set there for judgment, The thrones of the house of David.Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:“ May they prosper who love you.May peace be within your walls, And prosperity within your palaces.”For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say,“ May peace be within you.”For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your good.

You will arise and have compassion on Zion; For it is time to be gracious to her, For the appointed time has come.Surely Your servants take pleasure in her stones, And feel pity for her dust.

You who have escaped the sword, Go! Do not stay! Remember the Lord from far away, And let Jerusalem come to your mind.

For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet, Until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, And her salvation like a torch that is burning.

On your walls, Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; All day and all night they will never keep silent. You who profess the Lord, take no rest for yourselves;And give Him no rest until He establishes And makes Jerusalem an object of praise on the earth.

How lovely are Your dwelling places, Lord of armies!My soul longed and even yearned for the courtyards of the Lord; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.
