And when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house( now his windows were open in his chamber toward Jerusalem) and he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.Then these men assembled together, and found Daniel making petition and supplication before his God.

For there are set thrones for judgment, The thrones of the house of David.Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: They shall prosper that love thee.Peace be within thy walls, And prosperity within thy palaces.For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.For the sake of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek thy good.

Thou wilt arise, and have mercy upon Zion; For it is time to have pity upon her, Yea, the set time is come.For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, And have pity upon her dust.

Ye that have escaped the sword, go ye, stand not still; remember Jehovah from afar, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.

For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burneth.

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that are Jehovah’s remembrancers, take ye no rest,and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Jehovah of hosts!My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of Jehovah; My heart and my flesh cry out unto the living God.
