He made the sun to rule over the day. His faithful love continues forever.

that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

God made two great lights— the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

This is what the Lord says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord Almighty is his name:
