He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the earth, who makes lightnings for the rain and brings forth the wind from his storehouses.

And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel.

The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

“ Have you entered the storehouses of the snow, or have you seen the storehouses of the hail,which I have reserved for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war?What is the way to the place where the light is distributed, or where the east wind is scattered upon the earth?“ Who has cleft a channel for the torrents of rain and a way for the thunderbolt,to bring rain on a land where no man is, on the desert in which there is no man,to satisfy the waste and desolate land, and to make the ground sprout with grass?“ Has the rain a father, or who has begotten the drops of dew?

Are there any among the false gods of the nations that can bring rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Are you not he, O Lord our God? We set our hope on you, for you do all these things.

When no bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up— for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man to work the ground,and a mist was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground—

For he commanded and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea.
