I know the greatness of the Lord— that our Lord is greater than any other god.

I know that the Lord is great, that our Lord is greater than all gods.

How great is the Lord, how deserving of praise, in the city of our God, which sits on his holy mountain!

For the Lord is a great God, a great King above all gods.

“ I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, and he will endure forever. His kingdom will never be destroyed, and his rule will never end.He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.”

Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods.The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the Lord made the heavens!

“ For the Lord your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords. He is the great God, the mighty and awesome God, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed.

But the Lord is the only true God. He is the living God and the everlasting King! The whole earth trembles at his anger. The nations cannot stand up to his wrath.Say this to those who worship other gods:“ Your so called gods, who did not make the heavens and earth, will vanish from the earth and from under the heavens.”

God sits above the circle of the earth. The people below seem like grasshoppers to him! He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them.

No pagan god is like you, O Lord. None can do what you do!All the nations you made will come and bow before you, Lord; they will praise your holy name.For you are great and perform wonderful deeds. You alone are God.

For who in all of heaven can compare with the Lord? What mightiest angel is anything like the Lord?

“ To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?” asks the Holy One.

Therefore, I make this decree: If any people, whatever their race or nation or language, speak a word against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, they will be torn limb from limb, and their houses will be turned into heaps of rubble. There is no other god who can rescue like this!”
