我不容我的眼睛睡觉，也不容我的眼目打盹；

我不容我的眼睛睡觉，也不容我的眼皮打盹；

我必不容我的眼睛睡觉，也不容我的眼睑打盹；

绝不允许我的眼睛睡觉，也不允许我的眼帘打盹——

我不容我的眼睛睡覺，也不容我的眼目打盹；

我不容我的眼睛睡覺，也不容我的眼皮打盹；

我不容我的眼睛睡覺，也不容我的眼皮打盹；

我必不容我的眼睛睡覺，也不容我的眼瞼打盹；

我必不容我的眼睡覺，不容我的眼皮打盹，

絕不允許我的眼睛睡覺，也不允許我的眼簾打盹——

不任我目寢睡、合睫而眠兮、

維余之目不遑假寐、不暇合膜兮、

必不閉目寢睡、亦不合睫安眠、

I will allow no sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids,

I will not allow my eyes to sleep or my eyelids to slumber

Give your eyes no sleep and your eyelids no slumber;

She replied,“ Wait, my daughter, until you learn how the matter turns out, for the man will not rest but will settle the matter today.”
