the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain,beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King.Within her citadels God has made himself known as a fortress.

In Judah God is known; his name is great in Israel.His abode has been established in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion.

What will one answer the messengers of the nation?“ The Lord has founded Zion, and in her the afflicted of his people find refuge.”
