But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

The people of the world will see all the good I do for my people, and they will tremble with awe at the peace and prosperity I provide for them.

Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.

then hear from heaven where you live, and forgive. Give your people what their actions deserve, for you alone know each human heart.Then they will fear you as long as they live in the land you gave to our ancestors.

But the Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him.

O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.

Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.

You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One who is speaking. For if the people of Israel did not escape when they refused to listen to Moses, the earthly messenger, we will certainly not escape if we reject the One who speaks to us from heaven!When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise:“ Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.”This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain.Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.

“ Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord.“ Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.

Serve the Lord with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling.Submit to God’s royal son, or he will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities— for his anger flares up in an instant. But what joy for all who take refuge in him!

Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people? You will not stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing unfailing love.Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean!You will show us your faithfulness and unfailing love as you promised to our ancestors Abraham and Jacob long ago.

The church then had peace throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria, and it became stronger as the believers lived in the fear of the Lord. And with the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, it also grew in numbers.

Then the Lord came down in a cloud and stood there with him; and he called out his own name, Yahweh.The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out,“ Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations. I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and sin. But I do not excuse the guilty. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children and grandchildren; the entire family is affected— even children in the third and fourth generations.”

But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and“ All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.”
