O Jehovah, the God of Israel, thou art righteous; for we are left a remnant that is escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our guiltiness; for none can stand before thee because of this.

Jehovah is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: Hear, I pray you, all ye peoples, and behold my sorrow: My virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.

Blessed be Jehovah, Who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: The snare is broken, and we are escaped.
