The enemy said,‘ I will pursue. I will overtake. I will divide the plunder. My desire will be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword. My hand will destroy them.’You blew with your wind. The sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.

You pushed me back hard, to make me fall, but Yahweh helped me.

I will meditate on the glorious majesty of your honor, on your wondrous works.Men will speak of the might of your awesome acts. I will declare your greatness.

Now therefore, don’t let my blood fall to the earth away from the presence of Yahweh; for the king of Israel has come out to seek a flea, as when one hunts a partridge in the mountains.”

As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.The light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.He will consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. It will be as when a standard bearer faints.The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child could write their number.

‘ Have they not found, have they not divided the plunder? A lady, two ladies to every man; to Sisera a plunder of dyed garments, a plunder of dyed garments embroidered, of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the plunder?’“ So let all your enemies perish, Yahweh, but let those who love him be as the sun when it rises in its strength.” Then the land had rest forty years.
