Save me, for I am yours; I have sought out your precepts.

One will say,‘ I belong to the LORD,’ and another will use the name‘ Jacob.’ One will write on his hand,‘ The LORD’s,’ and use the name‘ Israel.’”

For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve came to meand said,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul! You must stand before Caesar, and God has graciously granted you the safety of all who are sailing with you.’

Help me to understand what your precepts mean! Then I can meditate on your marvelous teachings.

Protect me, for I am loyal! O my God, deliver your servant, who trusts in you!

Look, I long for your precepts. Revive me with your deliverance!ו( Vav)

May your hand help me, for I choose to obey your precepts.

This is what the LORD, the one who made you, says– the one who formed you in the womb and helps you:“ Don’t be afraid, my servant Jacob, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen!

Yet, LORD, you are our father. We are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the product of your labor.LORD, do not be too angry! Do not hold our sins against us continually! Take a good look at your people, at all of us!Your chosen cities have become a desert; Zion has become a desert, Jerusalem is a desolate ruin.

“ You, my servant Israel, Jacob whom I have chosen, offspring of Abraham my friend,you whom I am bringing back from the earth’s extremities, and have summoned from the remote regions– I told you,“ You are my servant.” I have chosen you and not rejected you.Don’t be afraid, for I am with you! Don’t be frightened, for I am your God! I strengthen you– yes, I help you– yes, I uphold you with my saving right hand!

“ Come to my aid so we can attack Gibeon, for it has made peace with Joshua and the Israelites.”So the five Amorite kings( the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon) and all their troops gathered together and advanced. They deployed their troops and fought against Gibeon.The men of Gibeon sent this message to Joshua at the camp in Gilgal,“ Do not abandon your subjects! Rescue us! Help us! For all the Amorite kings living in the hill country are attacking us.”

The LORD your God is in your midst; he is a warrior who can deliver. He takes great delight in you; he renews you by his love; he shouts for joy over you.”
