Unless your law had been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.

我若不是喜爱你的律法，早就在苦难中灭绝了！

我若非喜悅主之律法、在苦難中早已死亡、

須臾離道。何以自存。

If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.

If I had not taken delight in your law, I would have died because of my suffering.

If your instructions hadn’t sustained me with joy, I would have died in my misery.

I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living.

Trouble and anguish have taken hold of me. Your commandments are my delight.

For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

When you walk, it will lead you. When you sleep, it will watch over you. When you awake, it will talk with you.For the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light. Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

When I said,“ My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up.In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul.

Indeed your statutes are my delight, and my counselors.

Let your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight.
