If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.

If I had not taken delight in your law, I would have died because of my suffering.

If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.

If your instruction had not been my delight, I would have died in my affliction.

If Your Law had not been my delight, Then I would have perished in my misery.

Unless Your law had been my delight, I would then have perished in my affliction.

Unless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.

As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands.

Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.

When you walk, their counsel will lead you. When you sleep, they will protect you. When you wake up, they will advise you.For their command is a lamp and their instruction a light; their corrective discipline is the way to life.

I cried out,“ I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.

Your laws please me; they give me wise advice. Daleth

Surround me with your tender mercies so I may live, for your instructions are my delight.
