我因盼望你的應許眼睛失明，說：你何時安慰我？

因望爾言、我目昏眊、乃曰、爾何時慰我兮、

我窮目力、望爾踐言、爾慰藉予、不知何時兮、

我盼慕主之應許、盼得眼穿、曰、主何時安慰我、

望眼欲穿。嗣音何遲。

My eyes fail, looking for your promise; I say,“ When will you comfort me?”

My eyes grow tired looking for what you have promised. I say,“ When will you comfort me?”

My eyes are straining to see your promises come true. When will you comfort me?

My eyes fail with longing for Your word, While I say,“ When will You comfort me?”

My eyes fail from searching Your word, Saying,“ When will You comfort me?”

My eyes grow tired as I wait for your promise to be fulfilled. I say,“ When will you comfort me?”

My eyes fail for your word. I say,“ When will you comfort me?”

I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.Make us glad according to the days[ wherein] thou hast afflicted us,[ and] the years[ wherein] we have seen evil.

Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see[ it], and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city.
