Bring disgrace upon the arrogant people who lied about me; meanwhile, I will concentrate on your commandments.

愿骄傲人蒙羞，因为他们无理地倾覆我；但我要思想你的训词。

願傲慢人蒙羞，因為他們以虛謊屈枉我；但我要默想你的訓誡。

願驕人蒙羞、以其無端傾我、惟我思爾訓詞兮、

驕者侮予、出於無因、使彼蒙羞、我默想爾道不已兮、

驕傲人無故欺侮我、願其蒙羞、我惟默念主之命令、

相彼群姦。無故相侵。我仍樂道。涵泳日新。

May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause; but I will meditate on your precepts.

May proud people be put to shame for treating me badly for no reason. I will think deeply about your rules.

Let the insolent be put to shame, because they have wronged me with falsehood; as for me, I will meditate on your precepts.

Let the arrogant be put to shame for slandering me with lies; I will meditate on your precepts.

May the arrogant be put to shame, because they lead me astray with a lie; But I shall meditate on Your precepts.

Let the proud be ashamed, For they treated me wrongfully with falsehood; But I will meditate on Your precepts.

Let the proud be put to shame; For they have overthrown me wrongfully: But I will meditate on thy precepts.

Let the arrogant be put to shame for slandering me with lies; I will meditate on Your precepts.

Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause:[ but] I will meditate in thy precepts.

May the arrogant be humiliated, for they have slandered me! But I meditate on your precepts.

Let the proud be disappointed, for they have overthrown me wrongfully. I will meditate on your precepts.

May those who rejoice at my troubles be humiliated and disgraced. May those who triumph over me be covered with shame and dishonor.

You rebuke the arrogant; those who wander from your commands are cursed.

I did them no wrong, but they laid a trap for me. I did them no wrong, but they dug a pit to catch me.

But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.

Why are you chasing me? What have I done? What is my crime?

No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.

The proud hold me in utter contempt, but I do not turn away from your instructions.

This very day you can see with your own eyes it isn’t true. For the Lord placed you at my mercy back there in the cave. Some of my men told me to kill you, but I spared you. For I said,‘ I will never harm the king— he is the Lord’s anointed one.’Look, my father, at what I have in my hand. It is a piece of the hem of your robe! I cut it off, but I didn’t kill you. This proves that I am not trying to harm you and that I have not sinned against you, even though you have been hunting for me to kill me.“ May the Lord judge between us. Perhaps the Lord will punish you for what you are trying to do to me, but I will never harm you.

And he said to David,“ You are a better man than I am, for you have repaid me good for evil.

Those who hate me without cause outnumber the hairs on my head. Many enemies try to destroy me with lies, demanding that I give back what I didn’t steal.

O land of arrogance, you will stumble and fall, and no one will raise you up. For I will light a fire in the cities of Babylon that will burn up everything around them.”

This fulfills what is written in their Scriptures:‘ They hated me without cause.’

O Lord my God, if I have done wrong or am guilty of injustice,if I have betrayed a friend or plundered my enemy without cause,then let my enemies capture me. Let them trample me into the ground and drag my honor in the dust. Interlude

They surround me with hateful words and fight against me for no reason.

Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you.

Even princes sit and speak against me, but I will meditate on your decrees.

These arrogant people who hate your instructions have dug deep pits to trap me.All your commands are trustworthy. Protect me from those who hunt me down without cause.
