May proud people be put to shame for treating me badly for no reason. I will think deeply about your rules.

Let the insolent be put to shame, because they have wronged me with falsehood; as for me, I will meditate on your precepts.

Bring disgrace upon the arrogant people who lied about me; meanwhile, I will concentrate on your commandments.

Let the arrogant be put to shame for slandering me with lies; I will meditate on your precepts.

May the arrogant be put to shame, because they lead me astray with a lie; But I shall meditate on Your precepts.

Let the proud be ashamed, For they treated me wrongfully with falsehood; But I will meditate on Your precepts.

Let the proud be put to shame; For they have overthrown me wrongfully: But I will meditate on thy precepts.

Let the arrogant be put to shame for slandering me with lies; I will meditate on Your precepts.

Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause:[ but] I will meditate in thy precepts.

May the arrogant be humiliated, for they have slandered me! But I meditate on your precepts.

Let the proud be disappointed, for they have overthrown me wrongfully. I will meditate on your precepts.

May all who gloat over my distress be put to shame and confusion; may all who exalt themselves over me be clothed with shame and disgrace.

You rebuke the arrogant, who are accursed, those who stray from your commands.

Since they hid their net for me without cause and without cause dug a pit for me,

but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.

And he added,“ Why is my lord pursuing his servant? What have I done, and what wrong am I guilty of?

No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.

The arrogant mock me unmercifully, but I do not turn from your law.

This day you have seen with your own eyes how the Lord delivered you into my hands in the cave. Some urged me to kill you, but I spared you; I said,‘ I will not lay my hand on my lord, because he is the Lord’s anointed.’See, my father, look at this piece of your robe in my hand! I cut off the corner of your robe but did not kill you. See that there is nothing in my hand to indicate that I am guilty of wrongdoing or rebellion. I have not wronged you, but you are hunting me down to take my life.May the Lord judge between you and me. And may the Lord avenge the wrongs you have done to me, but my hand will not touch you.

“ You are more righteous than I,” he said.“ You have treated me well, but I have treated you badly.

Those who hate me without reason outnumber the hairs of my head; many are my enemies without cause, those who seek to destroy me. I am forced to restore what I did not steal.

The arrogant one will stumble and fall and no one will help her up; I will kindle a fire in her towns that will consume all who are around her.”

But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law:‘ They hated me without reason.’

Lord my God, if I have done this and there is guilt on my hands—if I have repaid my ally with evil or without cause have robbed my foe—then let my enemy pursue and overtake me; let him trample my life to the ground and make me sleep in the dust.

With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause.

But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.

Though rulers sit together and slander me, your servant will meditate on your decrees.

The arrogant dig pits to trap me, contrary to your law.All your commands are trustworthy; help me, for I am being persecuted without cause.
