驕者侮予、出於無因、使彼蒙羞、我默想爾道不已兮、

驕傲人無故欺侮我、願其蒙羞、我惟默念主之命令、

相彼群姦。無故相侵。我仍樂道。涵泳日新。

May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause; but I will meditate on your precepts.

May proud people be put to shame for treating me badly for no reason. I will think deeply about your rules.

Let the insolent be put to shame, because they have wronged me with falsehood; as for me, I will meditate on your precepts.

Bring disgrace upon the arrogant people who lied about me; meanwhile, I will concentrate on your commandments.

Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, That do wander from thy commandments.

For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit; Without cause have they digged a pit for my soul.

But his delight is in the law of Jehovah; And on his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he said, Wherefore doth my lord pursue after his servant? for what have I done? or what evil is in my hand?

Yea, none that wait for thee shall be put to shame: They shall be put to shame that deal treacherously without cause.

The proud have had me greatly in derision: Yet have I not swerved from thy law.

Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that Jehovah had delivered thee to- day into my hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee; but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth my hand against my lord; for he is Jehovah’s anointed.Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand; for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in my hand, and I have not sinned against thee, though thou huntest after my life to take it.Jehovah judge between me and thee, and Jehovah avenge me of thee; but my hand shall not be upon thee.

And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I; for thou hast rendered unto me good, whereas I have rendered unto thee evil.

They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head: They that would cut me off, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: That which I took not away I have to restore.

And the proud one shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up; and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all that are round about him.

But this cometh to pass, that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

O Jehovah my God, if I have done this; If there be iniquity in my hands;If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me( Yea, I have delivered him that without cause was mine adversary;)Let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it; Yea, let him tread my life down to the earth, And lay my glory in the dust.[ Selah

They have compassed me about also with words of hatred, And fought against me without a cause.

For what glory is it, if, when ye sin, and are buffeted for it, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye shall take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

Princes also sat and talked against me; But thy servant did meditate on thy statutes.

The proud have digged pits for me, Who are not according to thy law.All thy commandments are faithful: They persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.
