The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.

Did not he who made me in the womb make him? And did not one fashion us in the womb?

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

Your testimonies are righteous forever; give me understanding that I may live.

Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

But it is the spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand.

[ Taw] Let my cry come before you, O Lord; give me understanding according to your word!

I am your servant; give me understanding, that I may know your testimonies!

And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Only, may the Lord grant you discretion and understanding, that when he gives you charge over Israel you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

Hiram also said,“ Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given King David a wise son, who has discretion and understanding, who will build a temple for the Lord and a royal palace for himself.

Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.

Your hands fashioned and made me, and now you have destroyed me altogether.Remember that you have made me like clay; and will you return me to the dust?Did you not pour me out like milk and curdle me like cheese?You clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews.

Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.
