“ Why do you ask Me about what is good?” He said to him.“ There is only One who is good. If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

so that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. For He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Then the Lord passed in front of him and proclaimed: Yahweh— Yahweh is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth,maintaining faithful love to a thousand generations, forgiving wrongdoing, rebellion, and sin. But He will not leave the guilty unpunished, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ wrongdoing on the children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generation.

Then Moses said,“ Please, let me see Your glory.”He said,“ I will cause all My goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim the name Yahweh before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

“ Why do you call Me good?” Jesus asked him.“ No one is good but One— God.

I told You about my life, and You listened to me; teach me Your statutes.

The Lord is good and upright; therefore He shows sinners the way.He leads the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.

I will make known the Lord’s faithful love and the Lord’s praiseworthy acts, because of all the Lord has done for us— even the many good things He has done for the house of Israel and has done for them based on His compassion and the abundance of His faithful love.

They will give a testimony of Your great goodness and will joyfully sing of Your righteousness.The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in faithful love.The Lord is good to everyone; His compassion rests on all He has made.
