Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I trust your commands.

Increase my knowledge and give me good sense, because I trust your commands.

And I pray this, that your love may abound even more and more in knowledge and every kind of insight

Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct he should show his works done in the gentleness that wisdom brings.But if you have bitter jealousy and selfishness in your hearts, do not boast and tell lies against the truth.Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, natural, demonic.For where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is disorder and every evil practice.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and not hypocritical.And the fruit that consists of righteousness is planted in peace among those who make peace.

He replied,“ You have been given the opportunity to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but they have not.

The LORD’s spirit will rest on him– a spirit that gives extraordinary wisdom, a spirit that provides the ability to execute plans, a spirit that produces absolute loyalty to the LORD.He will take delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by mere appearances, or make decisions on the basis of hearsay.He will treat the poor fairly, and make right decisions for the downtrodden of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and order the wicked to be executed.

O God, grant the king the ability to make just decisions! Grant the king’s son the ability to make fair decisions!Then he will judge your people fairly, and your oppressed ones equitably.

When the Israelites cried out for help to the LORD, he raised up a deliverer for them. His name was Ehud son of Gera the Benjaminite, a left-handed man. The Israelites sent him to King Eglon of Moab with their tribute payment.

My child, if you receive my words, and store up my commands within you,by making your ear attentive to wisdom, and by turning your heart to understanding,indeed, if you call out for discernment– raise your voice for understanding–if you seek it like silver, and search for it like hidden treasure,then you will understand how to fear the LORD, and you will discover knowledge about God.For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.He stores up effective counsel for the upright, and is like a shield for those who live with integrity,to guard the paths of the righteous and to protect the way of his pious ones.Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity– every good way.

“ You came down on Mount Sinai and spoke with them from heaven. You provided them with just judgments, true laws, and good statutes and commandments.You made known to them your holy Sabbath; you issued commandments, statutes, and law to them through Moses your servant.

I walk in the path of righteousness, in the pathway of justice,

Your instructions are totally reliable; all your just regulations endure.שׂ/שׁ( Sin/ Shin)

When all Israel heard about the judicial decision which the king had rendered, they respected the king, for they realized that he possessed supernatural wisdom to make judicial decisions.

May my tongue sing about your instructions, for all your commands are just.

So give your servant a discerning mind so he can make judicial decisions for your people and distinguish right from wrong. Otherwise no one is able to make judicial decisions for this great nation of yours.”

Give me understanding so that I might observe your law, and keep it with all my heart.

For this reason I carefully follow all your precepts. I hate all deceitful actions.פ( Pe)
