Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I trust your commands.

Increase my knowledge and give me good sense, because I trust your commands.

Teach me proper discernment and understanding! For I consider your commands to be reliable.

And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment,

Who is wise and has understanding among you? He should show his works by good conduct with wisdom’s gentleness.But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t brag and deny the truth.Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.For where envy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every kind of evil.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without favoritism and hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.

He answered them,“ Because the secrets of the kingdom of heaven have been given for you to know, but it has not been given to them.

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him— a Spirit of wisdom and understanding, a Spirit of counsel and strength, a Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.His delight will be in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what He sees with His eyes, He will not execute justice by what He hears with His ears,but He will judge the poor righteously and execute justice for the oppressed of the land. He will strike the land with discipline from His mouth, and He will kill the wicked with a command from His lips.

God, give Your justice to the king and Your righteousness to the king’s son.He will judge Your people with righteousness and Your afflicted ones with justice.

Then the Israelites cried out to the Lord, and He raised up Ehud son of Gera, a left-handed Benjaminite, as a deliverer for them. The Israelites sent him to Eglon king of Moab with tribute money.

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding;furthermore, if you call out to insight and lift your voice to understanding,if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure,then you will understand the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God.For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.He stores up success for the upright; He is a shield for those who live with integrityso that He may guard the paths of justice and protect the way of His loyal followers.Then you will understand righteousness, justice, and integrity— every good path.

You came down on Mount Sinai, and spoke to them from heaven. You gave them impartial ordinances, reliable instructions, and good statutes and commands.You revealed Your holy Sabbath to them, and gave them commands, statutes, and instruction through Your servant Moses.

I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice,

The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever.

All Israel heard about the judgment the king had given, and they stood in awe of the king because they saw that God’s wisdom was in him to carry out justice.

My tongue sings about Your promise, for all Your commands are righteous.

So give Your servant an obedient heart to judge Your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”

Help me understand Your instruction, and I will obey it and follow it with all my heart.

I carefully follow all Your precepts and hate every false way.
