Who is wise and understanding among you? let him show by his good life his works in meekness of wisdom.But if ye have bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, glory not and lie not against the truth.This wisdom is not a wisdom that cometh down from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.For where jealousy and faction are, there is confusion and every vile deed.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.

And he answered and said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.And his delight shall be in the fear of Jehovah; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears;but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

Give the king thy judgments, O God, And thy righteousness unto the king’s son.He will judge thy people with righteousness, And thy poor with justice.

But when the children of Israel cried unto Jehovah, Jehovah raised them up a saviour, Ehud the son of Gera, the Benjamite, a man left- handed. And the children of Israel sent tribute by him unto Eglon the king of Moab.

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, And lay up my commandments with thee;So as to incline thine ear unto wisdom, And apply thy heart to understanding;Yea, if thou cry after discernment, And lift up thy voice for understanding;If thou seek her as silver, And search for her as for hid treasures:Then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah, And find the knowledge of God.For Jehovah giveth wisdom; Out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding:He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to them that walk in integrity;That he may guard the paths of justice, And preserve the way of his saints.Then shalt thou understand righteousness and justice, And equity, yea, every good path.

Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments,and madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them commandments, and statutes, and a law, by Moses thy servant,

I walk in the way of righteousness, In the midst of the paths of justice;

The sum of thy word is truth; And every one of thy righteous ordinances endureth for ever.

And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do justice.

Let my tongue sing of thy word; For all thy commandments are righteousness.

Give thy servant therefore an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this thy great people?

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; Yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; And I hate every false way.
