I am a friend to all who fear you, to all who follow your precepts.

I’m a friend to everyone who has respect for you. I’m a friend to everyone who follows your rules.

I am a companion of all who fear you, of those who keep your precepts.

I am a friend to anyone who fears you— anyone who obeys your commandments.

Do not become partners with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness?And what agreement does Christ have with Beliar? Or what does a believer share in common with an unbeliever?And what mutual agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said,“ I will live in them and will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”Therefore“ come out from their midst, and be separate,” says the Lord,“ and touch no unclean thing, and I will welcome you,

Then those who respected the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD took notice. A scroll was prepared before him in which were recorded the names of those who respected the LORD and honored his name.“ They will belong to me,” says the LORD who rules over all,“ in the day when I prepare my own special property. I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.Then once more you will see that I make a distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not.

As for God’s chosen people who are in the land, and the leading officials I admired so much–

Turn away from me, you evil men, so that I can observe the commands of my God.

Free me from prison, that I may give thanks to your name. Because of me the godly will assemble, for you will vindicate me.
