I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.

I will lead a full and happy life, because I’ve tried to obey your rules.

and I shall walk in a wide place, for I have sought your precepts.

When you walk, your steps will not be hindered; when you run, you will not stumble.

But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer who works— this person will be blessed in what he does.

Make my steps steady through your promise; don’t let any sin dominate me.

As he was saying these things, many believed in him.Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him,“ If you continue in my word, you really are my disciples.You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”“ We are descendants of Abraham,” they answered him,“ and we have never been enslaved to anyone. How can you say,‘ You will become free’?”Jesus responded,“ Truly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.A slave does not remain in the household forever, but a son does remain forever.So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.

They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption, since people are enslaved to whatever defeats them.

You pore over the Scriptures because you think you have eternal life in them, and yet they testify about me.

I rejoice over your promise like one who finds vast treasure.

I am awake through each watch of the night to meditate on your promise.

if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure,then you will understand the fear of the LORD and discover the knowledge of God.

Speak and act as those who are to be judged by the law of freedom.

One who isolates himself pursues selfish desires; he rebels against all sound wisdom.

I am a resident alien on earth; do not hide your commands from me.

I applied my mind to examine and explore through wisdom all that is done under heaven. God has given people this miserable task to keep them occupied.

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed,

So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

It was good for me to be afflicted so that I could learn your statutes.
