I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.

I will lead a full and happy life, because I’ve tried to obey your rules.

promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he also brought into bondage.

Ye search the scriptures, because ye think that in them ye have eternal life; and these are they which bear witness of me;

I rejoice at thy word, As one that findeth great spoil.

Mine eyes anticipated the night- watches, That I might meditate on thy word.

If thou seek her as silver, And search for her as for hid treasures:Then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah, And find the knowledge of God.

So speak ye, and so do, as men that are to be judged by a law of liberty.

He that separateth himself seeketh his own desire, And rageth against all sound wisdom.

Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

It is good for me that I have been afflicted; That I may learn thy statutes.
