雖有公侯坐着攻訐我，你僕人卻默想着你的律例。

牧伯坐而詆我、爾僕思爾典章兮、

牧伯坐於高位、加以譭謗、僕則思爾禮儀兮、

雖有侯伯坐而議論我、我仍默念主之典章、

權貴相逼。我惟守正。

Though rulers sit together and slander me, your servant will meditate on your decrees.

Even if rulers sit together and tell lies about me, I will spend time thinking about your orders.

Even though princes sit plotting against me, your servant will meditate on your statutes.

Even princes sit and speak against me, but I will meditate on your decrees.

Though princes sit together speaking against me, your servant will think about your statutes;

Even though rulers sit and speak against me, Your servant meditates on Your statutes.

Princes also sit and speak against me, But Your servant meditates on Your statutes.

Princes also sat and talked against me; But thy servant did meditate on thy statutes.

Though rulers plot and slander me, your servant meditates on your statutes.

Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed, saying,

Saul said to his servants who stood around him,“ Hear now, you Benjamites! Will the son of Jesse give everyone of you fields and vineyards? Will he make you all captains of thousands and captains of hundreds,that all of you have conspired against me, and there is no one who discloses to me when my son makes a treaty with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you who is sorry for me, or discloses to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as it is today?”Then Doeg the Edomite, who stood by the servants of Saul, answered and said,“ I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.He inquired of Yahweh for him, gave him food, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.”Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father’s house, the priests who were in Nob; and they all came to the king.Saul said,“ Hear now, you son of Ahitub.” He answered,“ Here I am, my lord.”Saul said to him,“ Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread, and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as it is today?”

The chief priests and the scribes stood, vehemently accusing him.Herod with his soldiers humiliated him and mocked him. Dressing him in luxurious clothing, they sent him back to Pilate.

The whole company of them rose up and brought him before Pilate.They began to accuse him, saying,“ We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.”

For as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, you will not be established, nor will your kingdom. Therefore now send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die!”

As soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people were gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led him away into their council, saying,
