雖有侯伯坐而議論我、我仍默念主之典章、

權貴相逼。我惟守正。

Though rulers sit together and slander me, your servant will meditate on your decrees.

Even if rulers sit together and tell lies about me, I will spend time thinking about your orders.

Even though princes sit plotting against me, your servant will meditate on your statutes.

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed,[ saying],

And he answered, Here I[ am], my lord.And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked[ him], and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this[ fellow] perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die.

And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,
