CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation:[ but] I hope in thy word.

Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they[ are] the rejoicing of my heart.

Although my house[ be] not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all[ things], and sure: for[ this is] all my salvation, and all[ my] desire, although he make[ it] not to grow.

And not only[ they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption,[ to wit], the redemption of our body.For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?But if we hope for that we see not,[ then] do we with patience wait for[ it].

And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.

I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.

I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find my beloved, that ye tell him, that I[ am] sick of love.

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but[ when] the desire cometh,[ it is] a tree of life.

I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law[ is] my delight.

But his delight[ is] in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
