I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

My soul fainteth for thy salvation; But I hope in thy word.

Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever; For they are the rejoicing of my heart.

Verily my house is not so with God; Yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, Ordered in all things, and sure: For it is all my salvation, and all my desire, Although he maketh it not to grow.

And not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first- fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for our adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.For in hope were we saved: but hope that is seen is not hope: for who hopeth for that which he seeth?But if we hope for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

And I will delight myself in thy commandments, Which I have loved.

I have waited for thy salvation, O Jehovah.

I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, If ye find my beloved, That ye tell him, that I am sick from love.

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.Wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me out of the body of this death?I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then I of myself with the mind, indeed, serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

But I am in a strait betwixt the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ; for it is very far better:

I have hoped for thy salvation, O Jehovah, And have done thy commandments.My soul hath observed thy testimonies; And I love them exceedingly.

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick; But when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

I rejoice at thy word, As one that findeth great spoil.

Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live; For thy law is my delight.

But his delight is in the law of Jehovah; And on his law doth he meditate day and night.
