May my cry come before you, Lord; give me understanding according to your word.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.

Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding,If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures;Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God.

The righteousness of Your testimonies is everlasting; Give me understanding, and I shall live.I cry out with my whole heart; Hear me, O Lord! I will keep Your statutes.

Only may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”

Then the priests, the Levites, arose and blessed the people, and their voice was heard; and their prayer came up to His holy dwelling place, to heaven.

And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.
