May my cry come before you, Lord; give me understanding according to your word.

But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

In my distress I called upon Jehovah, And cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry before him came into his ears.

Yea, if thou cry after discernment, And lift up thy voice for understanding;If thou seek her as silver, And search for her as for hid treasures:Then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah, And find the knowledge of God.

Thy testimonies are righteous for ever: Give me understanding, and I shall live.I have called with my whole heart; answer me, O Jehovah: I will keep thy statutes.

Only Jehovah give thee discretion and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel; that so thou mayest keep the law of Jehovah thy God.

Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy habitation, even unto heaven.

And he changeth the times and the seasons; he removeth kings, and setteth up kings; he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that have understanding;
