Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands give me delight.

I’ve had my share of trouble and suffering. But your commands give me delight.

The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow.

Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh.

Jesus said to them,“ My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.

The cords of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death came on me.

I am afflicted very much. Revive me, Yahweh, according to your word.

I will delight myself in your commandments, because I love them.

He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.He said to them,“ My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch.”

I haven’t gone back from the commandment of his lips. I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
