Jesus* said to them,“ My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work.

The ropes of death encompassed me, And the torrents of destruction terrified me.The ropes of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me.

I am exceedingly afflicted; Revive me, Lord, according to Your word.

I will delight in Your commandments, Which I love.

May Your compassion come to me so that I may live, For Your Law is my delight.

And He* took with Him Peter, James, and John, and began to be very distressed and troubled.And He* said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.”

I have not failed the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.
