O God, have mercy on me, for people are hounding me. My foes attack me all day long.I am constantly hounded by those who slander me, and many are boldly attacking me.

Please guarantee a blessing for me. Don’t let the arrogant oppress me!

We have been rescued from our enemies so we can serve God without fear,in holiness and righteousness for as long as we live.

I, the Sovereign Lord, will gather you back from the nations where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel once again.’“ When the people return to their homeland, they will remove every trace of their vile images and detestable idols.And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart,so they will obey my decrees and regulations. Then they will truly be my people, and I will be their God.

For I will gather you up from all the nations and bring you home again to your land.“ Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols.And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.

The church then had peace throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria, and it became stronger as the believers lived in the fear of the Lord. And with the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, it also grew in numbers.

So he brought his people out of Egypt with joy, his chosen ones with rejoicing.He gave his people the lands of pagan nations, and they harvested crops that others had planted.All this happened so they would follow his decrees and obey his instructions. Praise the Lord!

Hear my cry, for I am very low. Rescue me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.

For you have rescued me from death; you have kept my feet from slipping. So now I can walk in your presence, O God, in your life giving light.
