I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.

I serve you, so help me to understand what is right. Then I will understand your covenant laws.

O Lord, truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have loosed my bonds.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

I am Yours, save me; For I have sought Your precepts.

But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Remove from me the way of lying, And grant me Your law graciously.

“ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.

Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.

Open my eyes, that I may see Wondrous things from Your law.I am a stranger in the earth; Do not hide Your commandments from me.

On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him,“ Ask! What shall I give you?”And Solomon said to God:“ You have shown great mercy to David my father, and have made me king in his place.Now, O Lord God, let Your promise to David my father be established, for You have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”

The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way, But the folly of fools is deceit.

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Oh, turn to me, and have mercy on me! Give Your strength to Your servant, And save the son of Your maidservant.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge, For I believe Your commandments.
