Out of my distress, I called on Yah. Yah answered me with freedom.

我遭難時、呼籲耶和華、蒙其垂聽、導我至安閒之地兮、

我急難時呼籲主、主應允我、使我得至寛闊之地、

昔罹患難。惟主是求。蒙主垂聽。我獲自由。

When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place.

When I was in great trouble, I cried out to the Lord. He answered me and set me free from my trouble.

Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free.

In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free.

I called to the LORD in distress; the LORD answered me and put me in a spacious place.

From my distress I called upon the Lord; The Lord answered me and put me in an open space.

He brought me out also into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.

In my distress I called on Yahweh, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.

I waited patiently for Yahweh. He turned to me, and heard my cry.He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand.He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God. Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in Yahweh.

In my distress, I cried to Yahweh. He answered me.

Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, he saves them out of their distresses.

Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh.Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.

The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow.Then I called on Yahweh’s name:“ Yahweh, I beg you, deliver my soul.”

But he spoke all the more,“ If I must die with you, I will not deny you.” They all said the same thing.They came to a place which was named Gethsemane. He said to his disciples,“ Sit here, while I pray.”He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.He said to them,“ My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch.”He went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass away from him.He said,“ Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire.”

Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the souls of all the people were grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters; but David strengthened himself in Yahweh his God.David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech,“ Please bring the ephod here to me.” Abiathar brought the ephod to David.David inquired of Yahweh, saying,“ If I pursue after this troop, will I overtake them?” He answered him,“ Pursue; for you will surely overtake them, and will without fail recover all.”

You have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy. You have set my feet in a large place.

Jacob said,“ God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, Yahweh, who said to me,‘ Return to your country, and to your relatives, and I will do you good,’I am not worthy of the least of all the loving kindnesses, and of all the truth, which you have shown to your servant; for with just my staff I crossed over this Jordan; and now I have become two companies.Please deliver me from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau; for I fear him, lest he come and strike me and the mothers with the children.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.

Then Jacob was greatly afraid and was distressed. He divided the people who were with him, and the flocks, and the herds, and the camels, into two companies;
