For it is written:‘ You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.’ ”Then the devil* left Him; and behold, angels came and began to serve Him.

Yet David vowed again, saying,“ Your father is well aware that I have found favor in your sight, and he has said,‘ Jonathan is not to know this, otherwise he will be worried.’ But indeed as the Lord lives and as your soul lives, there is just a step between me and death.”

The return of everyone depends on the man whom you are seeking; then all the people will be at peace.”

Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, so that through death He might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,
