Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.

I said to myself,“ Be calm. The Lord has been good to me.”

Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me.

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; For Jehovah hath dealt bountifully with thee.

This is what the Lord says:“ Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said,‘ We will not walk in it.’ (niv)

“ Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (niv)

“‘ So do not be afraid, Jacob my servant; do not be dismayed, Israel,’ declares the Lord.‘ I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their exile. Jacob will again have peace and security, and no one will make him afraid. (niv)

So I declared on oath in my anger,‘ They shall never enter my rest.’” (niv)

She will chase after her lovers but not catch them; she will look for them but not find them. Then she will say,‘ I will go back to my husband as at first, for then I was better off than now.’ (niv)

Be good to your servant while I live, that I may obey your word. (niv)

For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. (niv)
