I trusted in the Lord even when I said to myself,“ I am in great pain.”

尽管我曾说：“我受了极大的苦待”，尽管我曾在慌乱中说：“所有的人都是说谎的”，我仍然相信。

我因信，所以如此說話；我受了極大的困苦。

我信，儘管我說：「我受了極大的困苦。」

我相信，所以才說：「我受盡了痛苦。」

我雖然說：“我受了極大的痛苦”，但我仍然相信。

我雖說過：『我受了極大苦難』，我仍繼續相信；

儘管我曾說：「我受了極大的苦待」，儘管我曾在慌亂中說：「所有的人都是說謊的」，我仍然相信。

我因信而言此、我遭大難兮、

我信而言也、我甚迫切兮、

我雖云極受苦難、我仍然信賴、

昔在患難中。自言陷絕境。

I trusted in the Lord when I said,“ I am greatly afflicted”;

I believed, even when I spoke:“ I am greatly afflicted”;

I believed in you, so I said,“ I am deeply troubled, Lord.”

I believed, even when I said,“ I am severely oppressed.”

I believed when I said,“ I am greatly afflicted.”

I believed, therefore I spoke,“ I am greatly afflicted.”

I believe, for I will speak: I was greatly afflicted:

I believed, even when I said,“ I am severely afflicted.”

I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

I had faith when I said,“ I am severely oppressed.”

I believed, therefore I said,“ I was greatly afflicted.”

It is written,“ I believed, and so I have spoken.”( Psalm 116:10) We have that same spirit of faith. So we also believe and speak.

Faith is being sure of what we hope for. It is being sure of what we do not see.

Witnesses who aren’t honest will die. But anyone who listens carefully will be a successful witness.

Prophecy never came simply because a prophet wanted it to. Instead, the Holy Spirit guided the prophets as they spoke. So, although prophets are human, prophecy comes from God.

Joshua, the son of Nun, tore his clothes. So did Caleb, the son of Jephunneh. Joshua and Caleb were two of the men who had checked out the land.They spoke to the whole community of Israel. They said,“ We passed through the land and checked it out. It’s very good.If the Lord is pleased with us, he’ll lead us into that land. It’s a land that has plenty of milk and honey. He’ll give it to us.But don’t refuse to obey him. And don’t be afraid of the people of the land. We will swallow them up. The Lord is with us. So nothing can save them. Don’t be afraid of them.”

We told you about the time our Lord Jesus Christ came with power. But we didn’t make up clever stories when we told you about it. With our own eyes we saw him in all his majesty.
