『我必使你成為大國；我必給你祝福，使你的名尊大；成為祝福的口頭語：給你祝福的，我也必給他祝福；咒詛你的，我也必咒詛他：地上萬宗族都必用你的名而給自己祝福。』

但錫安說：『永恆主離棄了我了，我的主忘記了我了。』『婦人哪能忘記她嗍奶的孩子，而不憐憫她親腹生的兒子呢？就使有忘記的，但我呢、我是不會忘記你的。看哪，我把你刻在我手掌上；你的城牆不斷地在我面前。

上帝記起挪亞來，也記起那些同挪亞在樓船裏的一切走獸、一切牲口；上帝叫風吹過地上，水就漸漸消退。

上帝挺生了他的僕人，是差遣他先到你們這裏來，給你們祝福，叫你們各人回轉、離開你們的邪惡的。』

這是要使亞伯拉罕所受的祝福可以在耶穌基督身上臨到外國人，使我們可以憑着信領受所應許的聖靈。

雅各啊，你要懷念這些事；以色列啊，要懷念，因為是你做我僕人；我形成了你，是你做僕人歸於我；以色列啊，你必不會被我忘記。

只是那能使人分別善惡的知識樹的果子，你卻不可喫；因為你喫的日子、你一定死。』永恆主上帝說：『那人獨居不好；我要為他造個幫助者做他的配偶。』

上帝賜福與我們；願地的四極都敬畏他。

上帝聽見他們的唉哼，就記起他的約來、他同亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的約。上帝察看以色列人，知道他們的苦情。

我幼年的罪求你不要記得。我惟獨求你按你的堅愛來記起我：永恆主啊，為了你的慈惠記起我吧！

你們如果是屬基督的，那你們就是亞伯拉罕的後裔，照應許做後嗣了。

哥尼流定睛看他，很覺得懼怕，就說：『是甚麼事呢，主啊？』天使對他說：『你的禱告你的施捨已經上升，在上帝面前蒙記住了。
