If only You would tear the heavens open and come down, so that mountains would quake at Your presence—as fire kindles the brushwood, and fire causes water to boil— to make Your name known to Your enemies, so that nations will tremble at Your presence!When You did awesome works that we did not expect, You came down, and the mountains quaked at Your presence.

His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles.The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord— at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.

He looks at the earth, and it trembles; He touches the mountains, and they pour out smoke.

Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.

Do you not fear Me? This is the Lord’s declaration. Do you not tremble before Me, the One who set the sand as the boundary of the sea, an enduring barrier that it cannot cross? The waves surge, but they cannot prevail. They roar but cannot pass over it.

Now listen to what the Lord is saying: Rise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice.Listen to the Lord’s lawsuit, you mountains and enduring foundations of the earth, because the Lord has a case against His people, and He will argue it against Israel.

He shakes the earth from its place so that its pillars tremble.

The pillars that hold up the sky tremble, astounded at His rebuke.

The sound of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; lightning lit up the world. The earth shook and quaked.
