主已立誓豈能悔。爾當永為司鐸第一品。與彼麥基德。職位相彷彿。

The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind:“ You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”

The Lord has made a promise. He will not change his mind. He has said,“ You are a priest forever, just like Melchizedek.”

The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind,“ You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.”

The Lord has taken an oath and will not break his vow:“ You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”

The LORD has sworn an oath and will not take it back:“ You are a priest forever according to the pattern of Melchizedek.”

The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind,“ You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”

The Lord has sworn And will not relent,“ You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”

Jehovah hath sworn, and will not repent: Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchizedek.

The Lord has sworn an oath and will not take it back:“ Forever, You are a priest like Melchizedek.”

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou[ art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

The LORD makes this promise on oath and will not revoke it:“ You are an eternal priest after the pattern of Melchizedek.”

Yahweh has sworn, and will not change his mind:“ You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”

but he became a priest with an oath when God said to him:“ The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind:‘ You are a priest forever.’” (niv)

And he says in another place,“ You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” (niv)

For it is declared:“ You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” (niv)

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? (niv)

Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, (niv)

It is he who will build the temple of the Lord, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he will be a priest on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.’ (niv)

For the law appoints as high priests men in all their weakness; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever. (niv)

where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him,and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek means“ king of righteousness”; then also,“ king of Salem” means“ king of peace.”Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever. When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself,saying,“ I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.”And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.People swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument.Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath.God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood— and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood— why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? (niv)

and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father— to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. (niv)

The Lord swore an oath to David, a sure oath he will not revoke:“ One of your own descendants I will place on your throne. (niv)

I will not violate my covenant or alter what my lips have uttered.Once for all, I have sworn by my holiness— and I will not lie to David—that his line will continue forever and his throne endure before me like the sun; (niv)
