Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind Shall be the portion of their cup.

將布羅網於惡人烈火硫磺炎颷、盈其杯兮、

電光閃兮硫火降、災飆發兮報施不爽、

主將網羅、烈火、硫磺、熱風、降於惡人之身、此乃惡人當得之報、

賢良蒙鍛鍊。所以玉其成。惟彼兇與暴。乃為主所憎。

On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot.

He will pour out flaming coals and burning sulfur on those who do what is wrong. A hot and dry wind will destroy them.

Let him rain coals on the wicked; fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked, punishing them with scorching winds.

Let him rain burning coals and sulfur on the wicked; let a scorching wind be the portion in their cup.

He will rain coals of fire upon the wicked, And brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.

Upon the wicked he will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.

He will rain burning coals and sulfur on the wicked; a scorching wind will be their portion.

Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest:[ this shall be] the portion of their cup.

May the LORD rain down burning coals and brimstone on the wicked! A whirlwind is what they deserve!

And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, And the wine is red; It is fully mixed, and He pours it out; Surely its dregs shall all the wicked of the earth Drain and drink down.

Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens.

but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.

“ This is the portion of a wicked man with God, And the heritage of oppressors, received from the Almighty:If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword; And his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.Those who survive him shall be buried in death, And their widows shall not weep,Though he heaps up silver like dust, And piles up clothing like clay—He may pile it up, but the just will wear it, And the innocent will divide the silver.He builds his house like a moth, Like a booth which a watchman makes.The rich man will lie down, But not be gathered up; He opens his eyes, And he is no more.Terrors overtake him like a flood; A tempest steals him away in the night.The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; It sweeps him out of his place.It hurls against him and does not spare; He flees desperately from its power.Men shall clap their hands at him, And shall hiss him out of his place.

When he is about to fill his stomach, God will cast on him the fury of His wrath, And will rain it on him while he is eating.

And Samuel said to the cook,“ Bring the portion which I gave you, of which I said to you,‘ Set it apart.’”

He gave them hail for rain, And flaming fire in their land.

Fear and the pit and the snare Are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth.And it shall be That he who flees from the noise of the fear Shall fall into the pit, And he who comes up from the midst of the pit Shall be caught in the snare; For the windows from on high are open, And the foundations of the earth are shaken.

Awake, awake! Stand up, O Jerusalem, You who have drunk at the hand of the Lord The cup of His fury; You have drunk the dregs of the cup of trembling, And drained it out.

You are filled with shame instead of glory. You also— drink! And be exposed as uncircumcised! The cup of the LORD’s right hand will be turned against you, And utter shame will be on your glory.

For thus says the Lord God of Israel to me:“ Take this wine cup of fury from My hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it.And they will drink and stagger and go mad because of the sword that I will send among them.”Then I took the cup from the LORD’s hand, and made all the nations drink, to whom the Lord had sent me:

So Jesus said to Peter,“ Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?”

At that time it will be said To this people and to Jerusalem,“ A dry wind of the desolate heights blows in the wilderness Toward the daughter of My people— Not to fan or to cleanse—A wind too strong for these will come for Me; Now I will also speak judgment against them.”

Then he took servings to them from before him, but Benjamin’s serving was five times as much as any of theirs. So they drank and were merry with him.

And whenever the time came for Elkanah to make an offering, he would give portions to Peninnah his wife and to all her sons and daughters.

O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot.

Thus says your Lord, The Lord and your God, Who pleads the cause of His people:“ See, I have taken out of your hand The cup of trembling, The dregs of the cup of My fury; You shall no longer drink it.

And Moses stretched out his rod toward heaven; and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and fire darted to the ground. And the Lord rained hail on the land of Egypt.So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, so very heavy that there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
