Upon the wicked he will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.

將布羅網於惡人烈火硫磺炎颷、盈其杯兮、

電光閃兮硫火降、災飆發兮報施不爽、

主將網羅、烈火、硫磺、熱風、降於惡人之身、此乃惡人當得之報、

賢良蒙鍛鍊。所以玉其成。惟彼兇與暴。乃為主所憎。

On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot.

He will pour out flaming coals and burning sulfur on those who do what is wrong. A hot and dry wind will destroy them.

Let him rain coals on the wicked; fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked, punishing them with scorching winds.

Let him rain burning coals and sulfur on the wicked; let a scorching wind be the portion in their cup.

He will rain coals of fire upon the wicked, And brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.

Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind Shall be the portion of their cup.

He will rain burning coals and sulfur on the wicked; a scorching wind will be their portion.

Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest:[ this shall be] the portion of their cup.

May the LORD rain down burning coals and brimstone on the wicked! A whirlwind is what they deserve!

On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

And with pestilence and with blood will I enter into judgment with him; and I will rain upon him, and upon his hordes, and upon the many peoples that are with him, an overflowing shower, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

For in the hand of Jehovah there is a cup, and the wine foameth; It is full of mixture, and he poureth out of the same: Surely the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall drain them, and drink them.

Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven;

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my wrath; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in wrath to consume it.

There shall dwell in his tent that which is none of his: Brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all:

This is the portion of a wicked man with God, And the heritage of oppressors, which they receive from the Almighty:If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword; And his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.Those that remain of him shall be buried in death, And his widows shall make no lamentation.Though he heap up silver as the dust, And prepare raiment as the clay;He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, And the innocent shall divide the silver.He buildeth his house as the moth, And as a booth which the keeper maketh.He lieth down rich, but he shall not be gathered to his fathers; He openeth his eyes, and he is not.Terrors overtake him like waters; A tempest stealeth him away in the night.The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth; And it sweepeth him out of his place.For God shall hurl at him, and not spare: He would fain flee out of his hand.Men shall clap their hands at him, And shall hiss him out of his place.

When he is about to fill his belly, God will cast the fierceness of his wrath upon him, And will rain it upon him while he is eating.

And Samuel said unto the cook, Bring the portion which I gave thee, of which I said unto thee, Set it by thee.

He gave them hail for rain, And flaming fire in their land.

Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.

Thou art filled with shame, and not glory: drink thou also, and be as one uncircumcised; the cup of Jehovah’s right hand shall come round unto thee, and foul shame shall be upon thy glory.

For thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, unto me: Take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.And they shall drink, and reel to and fro, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.Then took I the cup at Jehovah’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom Jehovah had sent me:

Jesus therefore said unto Peter, Put up the sword into the sheath: the cup which the Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A hot wind from the bare heights in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to winnow, nor to cleanse;a full wind from these shall come for me: now will I also utter judgments against them.

And he took and sent messes unto them from before him: but Benjamin’s mess was five times so much as any of theirs. And they drank, and were merry with him.

And when the day came that Elkanah sacrificed, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions:

Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: Thou maintainest my lot.

Thus saith thy Lord Jehovah, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thy hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath; thou shalt no more drink it again:

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and Jehovah sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down unto the earth; and Jehovah rained hail upon the land of Egypt.So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
