齋久雙膝軟。肌膚不復實。

My knees give way from fasting; my body is thin and gaunt.

When I wept,[ and chastened] my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.

When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
