Have you not rejected us, O God? O God, you do not go into battle with our armies.

上帝啊，你抛弃了我们吗？上帝啊，你不再和我们的军队一同出战了吗？

神啊！你不是把我们丢弃了吗？神啊！你不和我们的军队一同出战吗？

神哪，你不会抛弃了我们吧？神哪，你不与我们的队伍一同出征吗？

神啊，你不是丟棄了我們嗎？神啊，你不和我們的軍兵同去嗎？

上帝啊，你真的丟棄了我們嗎？上帝啊，你不和我們的軍隊同去嗎？

神啊，你真的丟棄了我們嗎？神啊，你不和我們的軍隊同去嗎？

上帝啊，你拋棄了我們嗎？上帝啊，你不再和我們的軍隊一同出戰了嗎？

神啊！你不是把我們丟棄了嗎？神啊！你不和我們的軍隊一同出戰嗎？

上帝啊，不是你把我們屏棄了麼？上帝啊，你不在我們軍隊中去出戰了！

神哪，你不會拋棄了我們吧？神哪，你不與我們的隊伍一同出征嗎？

上帝歟、爾非棄我乎、上帝歟、爾不與我軍偕出兮、

惟爾上帝、素棄我躬、惟爾上帝、今率余軍旅兮、

豈非天主乎、現今主竟遺棄我儕、不偕我軍旅出徵、

誰能領我。襲彼崇墉。誰能引我。征彼夷東。

Is it not you, God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?

God, isn’t it you, even though you have now turned away from us? Isn’t it you, even though you don’t lead our armies into battle anymore?

Have you not rejected us, O God? You do not go out, O God, with our armies.

Have you rejected us, O God? Will you no longer march with our armies?

God, haven’t you rejected us? God, you do not march out with our armies.

God, have You Yourself not rejected us? And will You not go forth with our armies, God?

Is it not You, O God, who cast us off? And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies?

Hast not thou cast us off, O God? And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.

God, haven’t You rejected us? God, You do not march out with our armies.

[ Wilt] not[ thou], O God,[ who] hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?

Haven’t you rejected us, God? You don’t go out, God, with our armies.

But you rejected and embarrassed us! You did not go into battle with our armies.

The Philistines assembled all their troops at Aphek, while Israel camped at the spring that is in Jezreel.When the leaders of the Philistines were passing in review at the head of their units of hundreds and thousands, David and his men were passing in review in the rear with Achish.The leaders of the Philistines asked,“ What about these Hebrews?” Achish said to the leaders of the Philistines,“ Isn’t this David, the servant of King Saul of Israel, who has been with me for quite some time? I have found no fault with him from the day of his defection until the present time!”But the leaders of the Philistines became angry with him and said to him,“ Send the man back! Let him return to the place that you assigned him! Don’t let him go down with us into the battle, for he might become our adversary in the battle. What better way to please his lord than with the heads of these men?Isn’t this David, of whom they sang as they danced,‘ Saul has struck down his thousands, but David his tens of thousands’?”So Achish summoned David and said to him,“ As surely as the LORD lives, you are an honest man, and I am glad to have you serving with me in the army. I have found no fault with you from the day that you first came to me until the present time. But in the opinion of the leaders, you are not reliable.So turn and leave in peace. You must not do anything that the leaders of the Philistines consider improper!”But David said to Achish,“ What have I done? What have you found in your servant from the day that I first came into your presence until the present time, that I shouldn’t go and fight the enemies of my lord the king?”Achish replied to David,“ I am convinced that you are as reliable as the angel of God! However, the leaders of the Philistines have said,‘ He must not go up with us in the battle.’So get up early in the morning along with the servants of your lord who have come with you. When you get up early in the morning, as soon as it is light enough to see, leave.”So David and his men got up early in the morning to return to the land of the Philistines, but the Philistines went up to Jezreel.

David asked the men who were standing near him,“ What will be done for the man who strikes down this Philistine and frees Israel from this humiliation? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he defies the armies of the living God?”

Asa prayed to the LORD his God:“ O LORD, there is no one but you who can help the weak when they are vastly outnumbered. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you and have marched on your behalf against this huge army. O LORD our God, don’t let men prevail against you!”

Your servant has struck down both the lion and the bear. This uncircumcised Philistine will be just like one of them. For he has defied the armies of the living God!”

If you go to war in your land against an adversary who opposes you, then you must sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the LORD your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.

He said:“ Pay attention, all you people of Judah, residents of Jerusalem, and King Jehoshaphat! This is what the LORD says to you:‘ Don’t be afraid and don’t panic because of this huge army! For the battle is not yours, but God’s.

Now look, God is with us as our leader. His priests are ready to blow the trumpets to signal the attack against you. You Israelites, don’t fight against the LORD God of your ancestors, for you will not win!”

“ Listen, Israel! Today you are moving forward to do battle with your enemies. Do not be fainthearted. Do not fear and tremble or be terrified because of them,for the LORD your God goes with you to fight on your behalf against your enemies to give you victory.”
