And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed[ be] the LORD, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel.And he shall be unto thee a restorer of[ thy] life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he[ is] the father of Jesse, the father of David.

And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth[ day] of the month,[ that] Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the[ first] year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison,And spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that[ were] with him in Babylon,And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.And[ for] his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.

And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed.

Children’s children[ are] the crown of old men; and the glory of children[ are] their fathers.

After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons,[ even] four generations.

Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust,[ and] lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;That he may set[ him] with princes,[ even] with the princes of his people.He maketh the barren woman to keep house,[ and to be] a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.

Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children,[ and] peace upon Israel.
