Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, he saves them out of their distresses.

I cried to you, Yahweh. I made supplication to the Lord:“ What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth?Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me. Yahweh, be my helper.”You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,to the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

‘ Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.’

Then I called on Yahweh’s name:“ Yahweh, I beg you, deliver my soul.”Yahweh is Gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful.Yahweh preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me.Return to your rest, my soul, for Yahweh has dealt bountifully with you.For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
